Building Designer & BIM Consultant

As the director of VDMBIM with a 12-year background as a carpenter, cabinet maker, building designer, and now BIM consultant, Jad has a robust understanding of construction processes and extensive industry experience. This supports his ability to mentor staff and enhances the capabilities of the BIM consulting department. Additionally, his proactive engagement at BIM seminars and webinars has significantly deepened his understanding of design and construction documentation, while keeping up to date with new technology used in the industry.

Throughout his career, Jad has spearheaded the transition from 2D drafting to 3D modeling for numerous firms, developed BIM office standards and procedures, and conducted training sessions for staff members. His active participation in strategic discussions ensures the alignment of BIM implementation with company goals, leading to the successful rollout of BIM execution plans.

Jad's advanced skills and experience support the creation of custom BIM content, establishment of file management standards, naming conventions, and scheduling procedures for both local and cloud services.

Over the past decade, he has honed his skills across various firms, developing and implementing drafting office standards at companies such as DGBDD Designs, MDH Design, Rhodes Projects, and Sketch.

During his tenure at D&E Air-conditioning, Jad contributed to large-scale projects like the Melbourne Metro Tunnels and Footscray Hospital, focusing on MEP documentation. His interest in mechanical air-conditioning allows him to provide comprehensive documentation and effective coordination for projects requiring early-stage integration of these systems.
