Everything VDMBIM makes — from a single Revit family to the VDMBIM Nexus add-in — is built from years of hands-on construction, design and BIM experience. This Copyright Notice explains who owns that work, what you can do with it once you've licensed it, and how to reach us if you need more.
This notice applies to all VDMBIM Products, Content and Platform services (as those terms are defined in our Terms of Use) and forms part of those Terms. If this notice and a product-specific licence or EULA conflict, the product-specific licence prevails for that product.
Unless otherwise stated, copyright in all VDMBIM Products, Content and Platform software is owned by VDMBIM Pty Ltd (ABN 80 954 418 076) or used under licence from the relevant owner. These works are protected by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and by international copyright treaties, including the Berne Convention.
Copyright extends to the files themselves and to the work that went into them, including:
Licensing a Product gives you the right to use it. It does not transfer ownership of the copyright to you.

When you purchase a Product, subscribe to a plan or download a free resource, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it in accordance with your licence type and our Terms of Use. Unless your licence states otherwise:
| Licence | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Single purchase | Use by the purchasing individual or business on unlimited projects, for as long as you comply with these Terms. |
| Subscription | Use by the licensed seats for the duration of an active subscription. Content downloaded and placed into projects during the subscription may remain in those projects after it ends. |
| Enterprise | Use by the named organisation and seat count set out in your Enterprise agreement. |
| Free resources | Personal and professional use, until the licence is withdrawn by us. |
| Software (Nexus, AI, add-ins) | Use of the software by the licence-key holder, subject to any EULA presented at installation or activation. |
Within your licence you may load, modify and adapt Products for your own projects — for example, editing family parameters, changing materials or extending a template to suit your office standards. Modified versions remain subject to this notice.
Except as expressly allowed by your licence or with our prior written permission, you must not:
VDMBIM Products are delivered with embedded licence information so that ownership and authorised use can be verified. Depending on the Product, this may include file properties such as:
ContractID · LicenseType · Owner · IssueDate · AssetGUID · ProductName · VerifyURL · FileHash_SHA256
Product downloads may also include a LICENSE.json, LICENSE.txt and VERIFY_LICENSE link. Removing or altering this information is a breach of your licence and may also infringe our rights.
Anyone can check whether a VDMBIM file is genuinely licensed using our Licence Verification page.
You own the models, drawings, schedules, reports and other deliverables you create for your projects using VDMBIM Products. You may share those deliverables with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities as part of normal project delivery, including in native formats such as RVT, IFC, DWG and PDF.
However, VDMBIM retains copyright in the underlying Products embedded in those deliverables. Sharing a project model as a project deliverable is permitted; extracting VDMBIM families, templates or scripts from it for separate reuse or redistribution is not.
You may view, download and print pages from vdmbim.com.au for your own reference. You may quote short extracts from our articles and guides, provided you credit VDMBIM and link back to the original page.
You must not republish whole articles, case studies, images or videos, or present our content as your own, without our written permission.
VDMBIM, VDMBIM Nexus, the VDMBIM logo and symbol, and associated product names are trade marks of VDMBIM Pty Ltd. You may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation or sponsorship by VDMBIM, or that could cause confusion, without our written permission.

All other trade marks are the property of their respective owners. VDMBIM is an independent business and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by these companies unless expressly stated.
Some Products include or depend on third-party or open-source components. Those components remain the property of their respective owners and are licensed to you under their own terms, which are provided with the Product or are available on request. Nothing in this notice limits your rights under an applicable open-source licence.
Products designed for use with third-party software (such as Autodesk Revit) do not include a licence for that software. You are responsible for holding valid licences for any third-party software you use.
